Does anyone use a Blitz BC etc for setting different boost settings on their cars? Im so used to having one on my Evos etc,

It appears the 1.8t lump just needs remapping then? Would you not safely squeeze more power out by SAFELY uppin the boost? Obviously with supporting mods - IC's etc

Boost control is done by the ECU. If it see's a pressure higher than that which the map is requesting (there is some sort of deviance parameter between requested and actual boost), then the car will go into limp mode.....

hi i use blitz duel sbc on cupra 18t stage 3 revo mapped jbs custom manifold k04 hybrid genisis 550s milli turbo back with sports cat forge fmic forge quick shift forge dv kona carbon induction liquid boost gauge also with dianostics getting around 260bhp goin for the garret turbo hope to get around 300+ with the blitz u can program each gearing boost pressure etc there the bollocks

...and breathe, a bit of punctuation wouldn't go amiss either!

You should be seeing around 300 BHP with that set up

to be honest with k04 hybrid you should be seeing more than 280 i would of taught and woth 550cc injectors which imo is over kill you can achieve that with 380cc injectors

380cc would not do on a hybrid K04, i maxed out my 440cc @ 3bar, even at 4bar they are not ideal, i need to go higher, 550cc are perfect.

Anyways, this is off topic, i'd be interesting in hearing about this Blitz SBC, i didn't think they worked on the ME7.5 that well.

i meant k04 turbo will get 280 sorry with 380cc injectors (s3 injectors) i made 276bhp @flywheel with k04 set up and maf and tip with fmic

hi again took car to alan jeffey couple of days ago running at 320brake the sbc has 5 settings i initially thought they were settings for each gearing but there not so sorry about that:redface: each setting is a diffrent boost pressure wich you can have set up to your own spec ideal for wet days when a little less wheel spin on pullaway is desired or you could use it to hold back on drag races etc pretty handy also there is a 5th setting that gives you more boost for a short period and then has the cut off you can also set this up to your own spec as example set this for 25 and c at 8 this gives you a initial pull away boost of 25bhp on top of your existing bhp but would only last for your set 8secs to less the chance of engine failure..
SORRY IF THERE IS NO PUNCTUATION BAD GRAMMER AND SPELLING MISTAKES.... BUT THOUGHT THIS SITE WAS ABOUT HOW TO MOD ETC.... NOT HOW TO SEE IF YOU CAN BECOME AN ENGLISH TEACHER [:@]

Wind your neck in, this forum has members from all over the world. Its a huge resource of info but badly spelt or poor english prevents people from searching and using the forums.

Theres a spell checker on here for everyone to use :).

Yeah wind it in a bit, peeps are only offering advise. I'm still interested in this SBC, how do you get around the ECU trying to control the boost without it having a Mickey fit.

im no expert, i think you can do it in 2 different ways.

1) if you for example have stage 2 or stage 3 software which ask for 22PSI, you then leave your N75 boost valve electrically connected so the ECU thinks its still have the controle (like the N249 delete/bypass). you then remove the vacum lines from the valve and connect it to your other boost controller.

after this you can select what ever boost you want as long as you dont adjust the boost controller above 22psi, then the ECU dont go into limp mode.

2) if you for example have stage 2 or stage 3 engine and going for a custom tune, you then leave your N75 boost valve electrically connected so the ECU thinks its still have the controle (like the N249 delete/bypass). you then remove the vacum lines from the valve and connect it to your other boost controller.
then if the tuner/mapper want to run 22PSI on the engine, he then sets the ECU to ask for 22PSI as normal, and then adjust the other controler to 22PSI.

after this you can select what ever boost you want as long as you dont adjust the boost controller above 22psi, then the ECU dont go into limp mode.

correct me if I am wrong.
