After doing my front & rear bumper, side strips & badges today i did my roof
To be honest the pictures don't do it justice and I am really happy with it, just the bars on the doors between the front and rear windows and then its all done !

Yeah i did it myself, I have been in the sign game for 12 years + so its not a problem for me, my tips are
1. Get someone to help you firstly to peel the paper off the back of the vinyl and to soak it in soapy water
2. Wet your roof then glide the vinyl in position
3. Start off in the middle and push the soapy water out to the edges using a "squeegy" (which is a application tool, search squeegy on ebay)
4. Use a heat gun to do the edges heating the vinyl up to stretch it in the areas needed
5. Carefully cut the vinyl around the edges finishing off with more heat to make sure the vinyl has stuck properly

Today i cut a piece of foamex plastic to fill the gap in the middle between the lcr splitter & the bumper, ive covered it in more carbon vinyl to finish the front end off

Thanks for that bud. It something i would consider doing myself.
Any particular wraps work better than other? thought you would be the best to ask considering your in sign making.

How did you get around the arial?

Sorry for all the questions....

thanks

Ask away I dont mind helping, you need to make sure the vinyl you buy is cast vinyl so it can be heated and stretched, as for the aerial I measured how far in from the end of the vinyl and cut out a shape a little smaller than the base of the aerial then I placed the vinyl over the base heating it in and trimmed it up

I've not used that make before so I can't say how good it is but going off what it says it looks alright, the best vinyl you can get is 3m, oracal & avery
Go for one of them 3 brands and you have quality vinyl, also seeing as you a novice ask for their rapid air range which is a special type of vinyl where if you get bubbles in it where you haven't applied it properly they can be easily pushed out, it will cost you more but you will get a better finish
