hi guys
i was looking at fitting a new interior light to my ibiza (mainly the map reading light feature im after)
ive been looking at the w8 passat light and the mk4golf light
will the mk4 light be a straight fit?
i know the passat one needs to be wired into the headlight switch for the led dimmer

thanks

You can buy the W8 interior light with a wiring loom adaptor from Kufatec, unfortunate thing is it's 49.99 EUR plus P+P so it's not cheap.

Alternatively you can get the Golf light, I got one off eBay the other day for my dad's VW T5, less than £5 delivered. And it is a straight swap, unplug your old one, plug new one in... all works.

I'm just going to save up for a bit and get the W8 one at some point.

You can, however some LED lights can look partially illuminated even when switched off due to them requiring a minimal voltage to run. If this is something that would annoy you I would either research LED bulbs that don't cause that to happen, or seek assurance from sellers that this will not happen.

Off the top of my head I think it's a 38 or 39mm festoon you need for the main interior light. I don't know about the map lights. Probably best to run a forum search. :)
