Got the nuespeed kit and a set of brackets from badger5! Can anyone give me a rough plan of attack to get it fitted?? Guessing ill need to do a bit of drilling to get the adaptor brackets on but is it pretty straight forward other than that?

no drilling req'd
excuse the corrosion>>

Sorry to hijack the thread but were does the center part of the rollbar connect to on the rear axel?

There's a hole already in the rear axle :)!

Apparently you can do it with the shock in place, however I found it much easier to remove the bolt holding the rear shock on and push the shock out the way to slide the bolt in :).

I've not had to remove shock, bolt slides in the hole on the ones I have done (inc my own racecar)

From what i remember when i looked (around january!) The centre part joins with the brackets supplied in the kit as it would on the cars its designed for, unless ive picked your question up wrong?

You must have removed that shock to get the bolt in place as the head is under the shock on top.

I bent **** out of the brackets after a while and bolted the rose joint straight to the hole show on the end of the arm.

No need for brackets imo.

you dont get full travel without binding the rose joints up that way phil, nor full adjustment potential.

I did'nt have to remove my shock - 100% on that :p

Hopefully get this fitted at the weekend if i can get a dry place to work, my garage is no longer a garage :L full of junk so its a no go just now! Im hoping the difference the bar makes is as good as ive been told, what setting am i best trying first??

if std front, softest... and work from there.

my ibiza I have drilled 2 more adjustment holes so its very short and I run it on shortest, uber stiff

Thanks for the info bill, do you supply a front ARB? As im interested in possibly getting one in the future if im impressed by the rear!

I wont lie to you, i found it a pig to fit!! See if you can get some g clamps, as fitting the arb is ok, until you try to fit the brackets around the current arb
Sorry im not quite with it at the mo

Sorry Bill i dont understand how it can affect anything botling it to the beam. I still have adjustment and rose joints move in any direction more than what is probably required.

maybe you are describing bolting it somewhere different..

restricted movement must be checked

I think i get what you mean, The only reason I ask is when I fitted on to my corsa (loooong time ago) It fitted is the same position as the ibiza near the shock but the center section connected to the rear axel mounts which meant I had to drop the axel from the car to install it.

If this is the case I no longer have the equipment to do that so will need to find a garage to fit it :(
