I'm having issues with the factory fitted Aura audio headunit.
I have a Seat Leon Cupra Mk1 (2001) with a factory fitted Aura cassette player with the additional glove-boxed mounted CD changer. The head unit works, but intermittently, the sound to the speakers is interrupted for anywhere between 30 seconds and a few minutes. When the audio comes back, it will fade in gradually (over a period of 30 seconds ish). This affects radio and CD playing the same. When the audio goes off, the radio is still fully responsive so can change station, change CD tracks, but no audio is heard.
I've tried disconnecting the CD changer, but the issue still occurs on the radio stations. I've taken out the radio unit and there are no obvious signs of damage, resetting the unit (by disconnecting the power) made no difference either.
Does anyone have any advice on this? Or perhaps does anyone have an old Aura headunit which they've replaced themselves that's sat in a cupboard gathering dush, that they'd be happy to sell on?
All thoughts gratefully received.
Cheers, Chris
