Has anyone claimed for a clutch using AA warranty and been paid out?

No chance, you'll see in the terms of the warranty wear and tear items or serviceable items e.g brake pads/discs, clutch centre plates not covered, just like tyres...when they wear out, you replace them,

But are you talking about the clutch cover or centre plate?

ive never claimed for 1 but in warranty book it says Clutch - all parts are covered accept worn out friction parts, if that any helps

its pointing towards release bearing... that surely should be covered

It would again depend on what is actually wrong with the release bearing, if just noisy its worn as wear and tear wont be covered, but IF release bearing has collapsed ;) it should be covered as deemed as a sudden mechanical failure ;)

i know ;) i used to admin a motor vehicle warranty... but warranties from bristol street motors do cover wear and tear for the 1st 6 months

the bearing is leaking if i bleed the clutch i can get it back for a week or so, but then it just fails. the clutch pedal stays down to the ground and does not come up unless i pull on it. so i think it should be covered?
