I would advise to change the plugs the same time you change the coil packs.
reason being when the coil pack shorts out it leaves a arc line down the enamel of the plug
if you fit a new coil pack to a plug with a arc line on it the new coil pack it will be faulty in no time as it will make it work harder due to the spark going everywhere on the plug.

Is your car under warranty? If not try your local eurocarparts branch or online they sell oe Bosch plugs at a fraction of the stealers!! If they will do another major brand to suit

Jinxed myself re visiting this thread. Driving home tonight, 4th gear "splutter" Fingers crossed its only plugs...

Have had EML have been confident it was down to Decat. However refitted cat for TUV test, light came back. Bugger.

Wish I still had VCDS cable so Seat cant pull my pants down telling me whats wrong :-(

Ordering a set tommorow. See what happens. Been commuting in Stock map to save on wear and tear while I get on top of servicing. Switched to St2+ for an enjoyable drive home. splutter splutter, jerk jerk.
Can you remember how much coil packs are off the top of your head? Was ages ago I fitted a new set.

Doubt plugs alon would cause EML???

well when you think i have had 12k of warranty work and its still its not sorted i think its terrible i have to pay out of my hard eaned wedge just because pedro couldnt put my car together is a complete joke.

i told seat during my warranty period in december that my car was eating plugs and that if they go again in 6 months i will hold them responsible , so will be an interesting conversation next monday.
