Bloody hell who'd have thought that a question about debadging could start such a debate!!!!

At the end of the day its upto the individual. I personally don't like the Leon Debadged because it doesn't look as good as with the badges, however I have had cars in the past where I have taken the badges off.

What I will say is it always tickles me and its been said in other threads about people who add badges. A guy at work has a CRV Honda, very nice car but he has added about 3 or 4 badges to the boot 4x4 TDI etc etc, and it just looks a bit sad. Nice bloke though!!!!! V8 Leon anyone?

I agree. Having waxed my car for the first time this year today it's so much easier to do the ass when it's smooth. Goes for most things in life............

I'm considering debadging mine. One reason it's an OEM+ look. Also, one very big reason. Have you guys tried polishing round and washing out the dirt around the letters, PITA

it's only those who debadge a bottom of the range model that are ashamed of their car. Those of use that drive FR's and Cupra's have nothing to be ashamed of when we're driving top of the range models.

Look at BMW drivers for example. Those that drive 318i and debadge hoping others won't realize they are driving a 318i. those drivers seem like they are ashamed of driving a bottom of the range bmw. I laugh at them, because i can identify most BMW models from the exhaust pipe. Anyone who is a fan of or into BMWs can tell different engine size from tailpipes. tbh there's no shame in driving a BMW 318i, it's still a BMW which is enough said.

Sorry to quote a 2 year old post and i know some of you may hate for doing so but....my old man (66yrs young) had his BMW 325 coupe debadged by BMW themselves so that twats in 320s can try, but wont succeed in beating him off the line and such!

He's almost 70, and he's had the dealer debadge his BMW, just to catch out less powerful BMW's, when (IF?) they try racing him away from traffic lights etc??

Mind you, he's having his ankle bone fused together in a couple months so he wont be doing much 'foot to the floor' driving again!
