288mm brake upgrade

right guys i own a 56 plate seat ibiza dab edition 100bhp. i want to upgrade my front brakes to the 288mm set up. i been researching a little bit but am very confused. would a set of mk4 golf calipers and caririers fit directly onto my hubs. if not is there any avaiable which will. also could i use the seat leon drilled grooved discs? what brake pads would people reccomend? i been looking at greenstuff or ferrodo ds2500. also could i then use my front calipers to upgrade my rear brakes to the 256 set up. many thanks for helping look forward to your advice

Discs should fit if they're the 5 x 100 PCD - Everybody does rate the ds2500's I've used greenstuff before on other vehicles and always had good results

If you have 256mm brakes, you need new hubs to upgrade to 288mm or 312mm

You can use the 256mm discs from the front on the rear but the calipers are no use as they have no handbrake mechanism

why not just get FR, Polo GTi or VRS calipers?

Plenty upgrade to 312mm and would sell theirs for £50!

I recently bought a set on eBay with calipers, carriers discs and pads for £14.

They rarely reach £20 because no1 wants them

right so am i right in saying if i purchase a set of skoda fabia vrs calipers i wont need to change hubs? alaso will the standard rear calipers hold the 256 discs?

If you buy vrs (or any other calipers) you need new hubs. Nothing fits straight on ur car.

And no, you would need rear calipers from an lcr, octavia vrs etc to use 256mm discs on the rear

right goin to get a set of vrs calipers, but does anybody know where can locate a set of brake hubs and how much they cost?
