Nice little snippet in an article from this month's magazine:

"Here's what you could have won - major manufacturers produce wonderful products for foreign markets that we don't get in the UK. What we want to know is: why not?"

I expect if you had the money you could buy one and import it then swap out the dash etc to make it right hand drive.

Yep you'd need to cut out the LHD bulkhead and weld in the RHD one as well, the panel isn't a straight swap unfortunately.

We didn't get it because VW was too afraid it would steal sales from its precious Golf 4Motion.... :censored:

Only makes it worse when you see the turbocharged Leon V6s on youtube

I'd do it if I had the money, the work wouldn't bother me so much and I think it'd be easier than trying to fit 4x4 on our leons.:)

Does anybody else see the lack of articles of Seats and Skodas in all magazines, every month I scan all the magazines and there is never a mention, let alone article, or am I missing them all?

Why waste your money on a thirsty 2.8 v6 that barely produces 200bhp? That engine makes no sense. in my opninion, its as useless as Audi's petrol 3.2 engine. Forced induction is the future! Yeaaahhh!!!!

So slap a turbo on the 2.8 v6 then lol :p

500bhp thank you very much!

Vw driver mag did a ' model profile' of the mk1 cupra leon earlier this year. I posted my comments on here at the time as the article was dog dirt if you ask me. Peter noad didn't even bother to do any real research into this car ( mk1 cupra in general - but main focus seemed to be on the lcr). It's not a golf so it can't be as good seems to be the general opinion I think, yes there is a lack of articles on the other vag vehicles sadly in general I feel. Maybe one day some 'expert' will have the brainwave to point out this car as a modern classic and then everyone will be made aware of how good they are and what people have been missing(badge snobbery)!.

You're forgetting torque though, the VR6 golf Mk3 was great fun, bags of torque, hp is over rated if you don't have the balls of torque to back it up.:)
