Can anyone tell me how much the polished jabba heatshield costs on its own, can only seem to find it complete with an induction kit on the jabba website but its for a petrol, i want the shield and make my own hoses and open cone up myself for my TDI

i made templates for one based on rds drawings and bought a sheet of ali, never got round to making one. Might do one today lol

it arrived today and is all fitted now - Its stainless steel and is proper lush! It fits perfectly and the Jetex Cone fits in there perfect. I will get a photo uploaded lter. But for £25 you cant go wrong!

again was wondering about the quailty but you seem pretty happy,

do the mounting holes line up and you wouldn't happen to know the diameter of the hole would you ?

please get some pic up asap :D

Right here are the pics! It fits perfectly, took 2 mins to fit, the MAF goes through the hole easy and then the jetex cone went over fine no problem. Holds the cone in place too (which was my main worry) but its fine and there is plenty of room under to put some ducting to the cold air feed. The same screws you use to fit the standard box in will work fine.

That's a nice tidy shield mate, you have PM :)

received and replied:D

in this case i think iam gonna go with the jabba one as i want it polished, but i have to say that one you made in that link is spot on, same theme colour iam doing on mine too with black & red

You can polish the metal instead of painting it! look in JamJays thread (where I go the original idea from) his isn't painted;)

Looks ALOT smaller than the jabba one.
Just saying.

Just a big cone fills it out....

You could bend it out a bit if you wanted to try and make it wider - but there isnt exactly much room between the battery and where the airbox was. It's the same size as the standard box. Cheaper then £95 jabba one

Hey mate, have you had any luck finding a jabbasport heatshield?

I was going to buy an ebay one but the cone looks quite cramped from the posted pictures

Id rather fist myself than pay the price jabbas are, crazy for well a sheet of ali. Best trying knock one up yourself if you fancy or that 25 quid one off ebay looks alright tho maybe restrictive around the outside the filter.

Not sure if that would have any noticable effect

too late

ordered the jabba one for £95 inc vat and postage. its pricey but i think it looks better and looks like it will work better as a shield.

Fair enough. Couldn't justify spending £95 though! I don't think it's restrictive if I need to I could always bend it a little. But overall I'm happy with it. And Bill from Badger5 recommends it on his business forum page :)
