No smoke no poke is bulls*it to be honest. Smoke actually increases EGT's I believe, and in turn, kills turbo's. A lot of the time its down to a greater than required increase in duration.

Smoke!! incorrect setup of start of injection for the durations basically timing, or MAF lookup table incorrectly modified, or boost control the list goes on.

Turns out methanol isn't good for sustained periods, and breaks engines!
I've stopped using it on mine now.
