Ahh fair enough then, makes sense to get a petrol!

At least you've already got some bits you can use again - coilovers, HIDs, spacers etc etc :)

Yeah i do but the one i'm looking to get is Cupra.Al's he has for sale, already comes with KW V1, stage 2 hardware and software! So if i was to get it i'd be selling my FK AK's!

Hope my OZ's will fit over Cupra brakes!

Ooo even nicer! Stage 2. That is going to be a crazy jump if you do go for it. Reference sport only came in 1.2 and 1.4 tdi didn't it?

Oh yeah its a MASSIVE jump in power! Going from a 1.2 Normally aspirated engine to a 1.8 forced air induction haha its running around 230 - 240 BHP so 3 times the amount of BHP, nearly 4 times haha!

I've been driving my mum's range rover and that isnt a slouch, also been driving her BF's A5 3.0TDI Quattro :) So im getting used to having more power now!

SO annoying though, insurance on it is going to be about 2k, yet when i try get insured on a brand new £20k cupra, the insurance is £800 :ban: That's cheaper than my insurance on my current car!

Im 20 with 3 years NCB, 3 years driving with Pass+ and BTEC in driving science!

Thats with me as a policy holder and main driver and parents as additional drivers.

May be going with adrian flux though, with it being modified, and failing that, some racing insurance a friend has told me he can sort me out with!

I'm surprised you're currently allowed to drive any other car 3rd party. My past 2 insurers have said I can, then when questioned fully, found out that that only applies when I'm 25 (Currently 23).

I only questioned them when I got my certificate of insurance through and couldn't see it mentioned. Might be worth checking to be safe :)

Think my top mount bearings are shot, what sounds like creaking coming from passenger front over bumps and when cornering, braking, accelerating! Looks like the fronts will be coming out along with the rears when i put new dust covers in :(

I don't know top mounts is my assumption because i had to do a 3 point turn on a narrow road last night and something made a big clunk and then the wheel pulled to the left strongly then was ok. I haven't got time to look at it though :( I think it will be top mounts because of added strain on them from coilovers.

More likely to be the top mount bearings. They are pretty common to fail. Both my mk4s have had this problem :(

The weirdest thing happened just then! I read about your top mounts and then on my way home mine started creaking really badly from the o/s/f and it clunks when on full lock! I have tightened up my strut bolts hoping its them! Its creaking when I brake like yours and when I accelerate like yours! I hope the bearings arnt too hard to change but the top mounts on my coilys came already on the from another owner on here. So might try sapping them to the ones from my old struts. How hard is it to swap them??
