Mums friend is getting his 3.0TDI A5 remapped next week, asked me if i want to get mine done at the same time hah so i said yeah and may be getting it done very cheap!

Im curious to see what bhp it is at the moment, see if the cold air feed and cone filter and cat back has actually made any difference. My scanguage does bhp but its waaayy too optimistic and says like 100bhp at about 4.5k!

*awaits the onslaught*

Surely being a N/A engine the increases wont really be that noticeable? If its cheap though i guess you cant say no

Well its like £150 on average for it on my car. And I have to go down to nottingham, which is £30 worth of juice so if its £100 I probably wouldn't bother.

So Cleaned car today thought i'd have a shot at changing the rear busted stuff, quite a pain!

Seeing as the wheel was off i thought i may as well clean the rear drums:

Then onto dust covers and bump stops.

Drivers side (not split but tearing)

Shock out (easy):

Biggest PITA was getting the top mount off! You try undo the nut and the whole thing spins! Had to hold it with grips and twist with adjustable wrench.

New dust cover and bump stop:

Drivers side back in:

Passengers side:

Old next to new (can see just how buggered old one was):

Then when i moved car across to its side of the garage there was knocking coming from the rear :( Think i may have not tightened something enough [:@]

Still dont know what's wrong with front passengers side, had a little look and the spring is fine. Couldn't be bothered!

I'll get my mechanic mate round and he'll tell me whats wrong soon!

It would have been a lot easier if i was doing it with the right tools and not with a pair of pliers!

Just been out and taken them both out and tightened the top mount nuts and its stopped creaking atthe back :)

So we're going to get this audi remapped on thursday! He said mine's £250 to do by the same guy but ive seen it on the internet for £150. He said he'd pay for it but i dont know, seems a waste of money! Rather have the cash to put towards a new one!

Yeah its good.

That ones waay overpriced! Can get a track grey '07 with 10,5k on it for that money! And the track grey one id over priced too!

I think some people have no idea about car values, see the same over over priced cars sat on ebay and autotrader just getting relisted and not dropping price.

This one, for example, has been on here since about august

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2007-07-S...3441353?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3cbc13a349

Price has dropped £250 since then, but its depreciated more than that since then! Madness
