I know! Oh well! I WILL have one one day! Hopefully I'll be making mine even better! I want A5 S-Line seats but they're £600! So may be getting TT or S3 seats!

With all the work thats gone/is going in to your yellow mk4, maybe engine conversion when the time is right?? I know it'll not be as cheap as just changing car, but you'd have something unique and would keep all the mods you've made. Just an idea

Yeah I have been looking at some LCR 225 BAM lumps but I'll need everything for it, all ancillaries, loom, ecu the lot! Will also need new drive shafts and new keys. Ideally I'd need a written off LCR that's had a rear end smash with low mileage. Its a big job and I have looked into it and I reckon I'd need about £5k at once to be able to buy the written off one. I'd obviously then sell the shell on.

But then again I can take everything I've put on the car off. Its tough!

@Lambro I'd LOVE a sleeper! Buy and old MK2 ibiza and put a supercharged R32 engine in it haha

So Cleaned car today thought i'd have a shot at changing the rear busted stuff, quite a pain!

Seeing as the wheel was off i thought i may as well clean the rear drums:

Then onto dust covers and bump stops.

Drivers side (not split but tearing)

Shock out (easy):

Biggest PITA was getting the top mount off! You try undo the nut and the whole thing spins! Had to hold it with grips and twist with adjustable wrench.

New dust cover and bump stop:

Drivers side back in:

Passengers side:

Old next to new (can see just how buggered old one was):

Passengers side in:

Then when i moved car across to its side of the garage there was knocking coming from the rear :( Think i may have not tightened something enough [:@]

Still dont know what's wrong with front passengers side, had a little look and the spring is fine. Couldn't be bothered!

I'll get my mechanic mate round and he'll tell me whats wrong soon!

what was the part number for these

Been slowly taking off the stickers, going off them to be honest! The 'haters hate' came off last week aswell as the 'tow' stickers front and back!

Yeah I think the 0-60 sticker is next to come off, then the speedbumps then shocker hand. Can't decide on osama bin laden one because its funny and gets quite a few nods at traffic lights haha

Yeah I'm not a fan of stickered up cars to be honest, but each to their own and all that :) (Osama one is pretty funny though!)

They will all start coming off soon!

Fancied tarting up my engine bay seeing as im getting a new big filter so i've ordered some nice polished alloy piping :)

At the moment ive just got a halfords jobbie small open cone filter on the end of flexible ducting, looks a bit naff.

So once the piping arrives i'll get my nice new filter on the end of it and my engine bay will have a bit of bling!

What piping you get mate and where you routing it to?

I think its 55mm polished alloy tubing. Got a 90 deg (from TB to passenger side of car) then another 90 deg so its point toward front of car then a straight pipe to just behind the bumper!

Connecting it using a heat shrink type thing I'll post a link tomorrow when I can get on computer!
