They sound really hollow compared to other doors too and especially Jen the windows are down they rattle inside the door!

I know! Sounds like you've been hit by a sledge hammer!

I know, I thought about the safety factor the other day! :p

I might think about sound deadening it, and maybe putting some weights in? :p

I think these ibizas have a 4 * N-Cap rating.. not sure!

Yea but the rating is for safety so they could have good ways that the car crumples in certain areas doesn't necceserally mean that the doors are well padded try might just have a good way to disperse energy in the event of impact

Hahaha did you say the lambo was borrowed??

You're just a detailing nutter mate! I thought I'd spent a bit but you've blown me out of the water! £50 doesn't get you very far though :ban:

I've got a thread up in the detailing section on here about paint correction, just wondering if I've got the right stuff to do it! Would you be able to have a look for me please and tell me if I'm wrong or right please Chris? :)

What happened with the TT seats Jordan?

Still waiting to pick them up! Its an awkward time being between xmas and new years, thought they'd be open today but they weren't. I hope they're open tomorrow so I can go get them! Need some 6mm steel plate so I can fit them, just don't know where to get it from!

Ohh dear they must have been blind.

Make sure the paint match is 100%, apparently its a sod to match crono yellow!

I'm sure there's something about seats in the MK4 FAQ section, have a look there!

to be honest dont use ag stuff no more to much hard work ,

snowfoam , rinse , re foam , 2 buckets , rinse , ironx , rinse , clay , wash , large mf drying cloths ,depending on swirls normally go superfine with a waffle pad , then go dodo juice supernatural wax then poorboys ex-p sealant over the top

most products i use are poorboys , dodo juice , chemical guys and autosmart

sign up to detailing world , its great will tell you anything you need to know , keep a eye out on facebook will be posting the new stuff up on there plus will be taking pics of the cars in the detailing steps

will be loads of the lambo

yes its borrowed for a few months :) , been to look at a edition 35 last night huba hauba in black

Yeah I've been on DW for a bit now but some of the stuff those guys do is mental! Like with the PDG's!

I haven't got deep swirls at all and there's not a lot so I got the fine stuff with a fine foam mop!
I4detailing aren't posting till 2nd jan so should be with me by the 1st weekend of jan so I'll get cracking then!

I'll get some photos of current swirls too

Couple of updates.

Went out last night and gave the bonnet a polish and so EGP on it and its reduced the swirls a bit, i'm too much of a perfectionist so i will still do the paint correction next week, the bonnet is the least affected area, worst are the boot and rear bumper.

Just got back from picking my seats up, they're in pretty good nick! Small wear marks on them but nothing some leather dye and polish wont sort out.

Now i need to try find some:

- Black leather dye
- local metal supplier (for 6mm steel plating to fit new seats)
- 8 x (1.5 x M12 bolt)

Chris do you know any metal suppliers in leeds?
