2012 Facelift

Overall it is a nice update, new bonnet and headlamps give a more purposeful look to the front. Would of liked a little more work having been done to the interior though.

With regards the engine downgrade like many I was outraged when they diluted the Leon FR especially as a Leon FR TSi 211 owner. But with us thinking of getting an Ibiza ST early next year when we get a dog and go back to two car's. Being able to get a 1.6 Tdi with FR body kit is a real bonus as I do like the new FR front end much nicer than the existing Sportrider.
 
I wonder if the new glovebox will fit in the current Ibiza, the way the handbook fits in its own little hole is much neater and would free up quite a bit of space and the holders for things in the door would stop them bouncing around like they do at the moment.

Rear lights look good too, will have to have a closer look at those!
 
Agree with the lights, hope they can be retrofitted! I noticed they have significantly reduced the size of the handbook in the newer models. Mine (09MY) barely fits but the current MK5s one goes in quite easily.
 
Some new videos showed up on youtube. I guess they are from some presentation in Spain. Most of videos are from FR which looks great, much better then current FR or sportrider. LED lights are cool too. ;)
 
I am due to collect my new Ibiza on the 7th of March and return my current white sportrider (Company lease scheme). I ordered another sportrider and when I ordered it I chose phantom black. I have had my collection details through and it says its now platinum black. I am unable to find this colour on the current Seat configurator so I am thinking could it maybe be a facelift model that is getting delivered?? Curious now as I actually prefer the look of the new one!!!
 
I must admit the xenons in the new shape do look good but sadly the interior head unit has not changed which is a bit of a let down tbh.

If you ordered sportrider then you'll get old one because there is no sport model anymore. Its replaced with FR.

I think you may be right about it being the old model but cant see them all only being 'FR's
Checked the spec list of the car and it was dispatched from the production site in December and the spec list reads very similar to that of my old one lol gutted! guess I will have to wait till the next one for the facelift!
 
Well they are all FR. There is no sport model anymore. You can get basic one which is Reference, you can get one with higher specs which is Style and above that is FR. So there is no sport/sportrider models anymore.

So FR has been officially announced on SEAT website. There is nice video and some pics. I think I saw 6 speed manual during video but I'm not sure if its just a reflection. Would be good to have 6 speed manual with TSI :)
