Side by side even to a cooking model the FL Ibiza looks much sharper, the thinner a winder grill has made the front end look sleeker by lowering the look of the bonnet. New headlights look good as well. Gets the thumbs up from me and looks more handsome than the A1 and Polo IMO.

I would of liked to see a new HU as I had the same HU in my FL FR TDi and found it a bit fussy to use. RCD 310 in my Leon is much better not sure if it would fit the Ibiza though?

The new media system coming Sept > as being fitted to the Mii and VW Up will be a cracker in the Ibiza. Only a £275 option in the Up so I would expect it to be around £250 in the Ibiza. Looks like a bespoke version of the Navigon Premium 40 to me.

I just saw that new Ibiza showed up in configurator in my country. I had a look at new FR. Price is the same as sportrider but you get lots of extras. For the price of previous Ibiza you get FR interior and exterior, audio pack(bluetooth, usb + 2 speakers), design package(armrest, storage below seats etc.), electric windows on front and rear, ESP+EBA+ASR+XDS, Electric mirrors(also heated) and spare wheel(some of you wondered about that recently).

You can buy additional stuff like:
-hill hold and tyre sensor which costs approx 50€
-parking sensor(back) for 270€
-Xenons with LED front and rear for 850€
-Ashtray and lighter for 30€ :p
-Tagus wheels for 220€

Hi :) Does anybody know if the new ibiza would have MAXI-DOT display or just the small one which is already in ?

Its annoying as the Fabia gets it as well as the radio slot capable of taking the RNS 510 etc, yet its supposed to be lesser model car than the Ibiza

Saw one this morning on a car transporter along the motorway, looks pretty smart IMO nice improvement over before. Silver 5dr with the 17" 'Tagus' alloys.

seems on seat.de you can configure the new facelift
including the FR which as alot feard has become just a trim level

you can get the FR in both 105hp and 150hp
as well as the 143hp diesel

on and it seems climate control is now an option

Looks like 16" wheels on the 2.0TDi version instead of 17".

With the climate control, rear speakers, hill hold, rear central head rest and the FR badging ruined (plus anything else I missed), I can safely say I will definitely not be getting another :thumbd:

UK versions get climate control as standard main loss seems to be the blutooth/USB pack which I assume is due to the forthcoming new detachable media system that has an inbuilt 32Gb harddrive, Satnav and bluetooth for around £250.

Specs for the FL FR seem to be:

Climate Control, rear electric windows, twin tailpipes, 16" wheels, flat bottomed sports steering wheel, 4 speakers, sports suspension, tinted rear windows, sports seats.

Then a reduction in price of about £1000 for the 150 TSi and £1100 for the FR TDi 143.

Lol well I will have the one you would of brought :D KJust a shame the 143 TDi lump is not available in the ST

I may be in the minority but I can't wait for the new FR. I was after a 1.6 Tdi Skoda Yeti but now I am pretty sure I will be buying a 1.6 Tdi Ibiza ST, FR!
Does anyone know when the UK launch date is?

Visited the steeler today he said that he expects only a few cars to be available on launch? The price he quoted my to replace my 2.0 TDI FR was £1300 cheaper than current price, but what it would appear what was previously included are now cost options like jezyg highlighted earlier and no portable media yet?

Cupra later this year but no more Boc's.....
