Why does my Ibiza creek after a wash???

If I take my Ibiza through a car wash (I know, I shouldn't but she needs to be clean for work and learners scratch the paint more on country roads) she creeks really badly afterwards until she dries out. It happens when I steer, brake or accelerate, but goes away after a little while.

Any ideas?

That's probably quite true lol.

I've noticed she does it when it's raining too.

I had a strut that did the same when wet, rain etc, changed and fine.

Go around the car next time and find out where its coming from, start by pushing the mounts down?

It's normally the wishbone bushes that creak, the rear ones. Pricey to get sorted but they're a common failure on the ibizas

Like Sam said rear wishbone mine used to do it when I just got a undercarriage wash ( don't worry I never paid for such a silly thing

Yes that's exactly it! I'll get the top mounts done when she next goes in for a service


Oddly, when the top mounts went on my Beetle it made a totally different noise (clicks).
