Hello All. I need your help again please!

Basically i had this fault code come up months ago (17588) so replaced precat o2 sensor and all has been fine until a few weeks ago when i had a new fault code come up which is 17604, also something to do with o2 sensor i believe. cleared it and has all been fine until today when new fault code come up which is (17588 again??) Why has this returned after ive already replaced this sensor? Also seems to only come up during wet weather? could this have something to do with it or is it just a coincidence?

Please help as this is baffling me! Thanks everyone. look forward to replys. :):):)

I hve not checked up on these codes, but, did you buy a genuine VAG or same as NTK Lambda probe ? If the answer is yes, then what model and age is your car, VAG did release a few flash updates to get rid of "false" Lambda sensors errors - maybe you need to visit your local Seat workshop and get that flash update to the engine ECU as changing these sensors frequently can't be right or cheap.

Hello, thanks for your reply, yes i purchased a NTK lambda probe! My car is a 1.4 16v DAB 2007 model, engine code BBZ. how much does the flash ECU update cost roughly?? thanks

I don't know - yet!

I have some other issues with my wife's BBY 2002 Polo and it gets covered by a flash update - though seems to be a different issue (time) to your one - though if there is a relevant flash update available they will "apply" it.

Maybe you should take the car in and ask the Seat dealer about this - they don't like you to know all the answers about these "kept very quiet" updates so go easy and you might it done. First they will check if your car is one of the ones that needs the update - VIN etc - and then they would need to connect to the car and check if it had been done already - they check the ECU's p/n - so we can't avoid paying for the VAS machine to get connected, ie diagnostic charged for.
