Big Service? whats needed

my computer says i have 4000 miles till next service and i'm unsure but it's going to need the full big service (whatever that it)

the garage i bought it from said the next service is half price so i paid 100 pound towards it meaning the service should normally be 200.


Has anyone got a list of things that need checking and changing so i can take it to them so they don't scrimp on a service?

Oil, Oil Filter, Air Filter, Fuel Filter, Pollen filter.

Obviously a check over and grease wherever it's needed.

I was for some reason thinking diesel, if you're a petrol, you probably don't need to do the fuel filter.

56 k miles.

60k is the big service. are local seat dealer has it down as 246 or something like that, and tbh i'd rather go with them now. but ive got 100 in the service at this garage and i dont want to waste money

I have just had the 40000 mile service all as above including Fuel Filter apparently they are prone to corroding. I never bothered changing the plugs though but at 60000 would do so. I had it serviced at my local Garage but all the parts are SEAT Original. I think the SEAT Major service includes Plugs which are about a tenner each.

Yes I believe so but maybe less, I'm sure I seen 40k or 4yrs for cam belt and you do the water pump too

It will eventually get some water content making it less effective. 3 years for the first change, then 2 years thereafter.

Don't worry to much about a year, I'm having my old classic BM fluid changed Tuesday as its still the original fluid, 1991 & 75k. .

I've just noticed, While the car is off by the key is move to the first position.


The spanner for the svice stays on with a clock. Different to when the car is first switched on and running.


Any ideas boys and girls
