I do poke odd occasions when im in a rush, i was hoping they would last longer as i think the part worn continental i had would last longer. gettin expsensive changin them every year...:(

how often do rest of you change yours? (not inc track day use :p )

I run pzero Nero's n I've put two full sets on in 16 months. Still life left in them tho, n I've done about 20000 miles in 16 months, so, I think that's reasonable, I'm not a granny after all!

But I had proxies on my 1.3 polo, n a Full set lasted me 4000 miles! Hooning obviously, but they are soft!

Indeed! They do the job well, wet or dry, very good feed back and very progressive when on the limit, but 85 a corner can get pricey when you tear em to shreds, or get a bit of wire through the side wall in two places on a tyre with 5mm tread! (which just happened to be btw!)

I get 12000-15000 out of my Toyo T1r's and had 18000 out of my uniroyal rainsport 2's, I dont drive steady all the time as I go to Santa Pod quite afew times a year, £60 a tyre for that amount of miles sounds good to me ;)

I'd always had Proxies on my old Mk2's but just put some P-Zero's on the Cupra R and they seem ok. I thought the proxies definately seemed better, especially in the dry, but I only used to get around 6-8k out of them. Will probably go back to proxies next time unless these really last much longer.

pzero nero should last longer then toyo proxies, proxies are only good cause they are soft! pzeros are a good compound of rubber, not just a soft one. proxies hold on good but they tend to 'snap' free on the limit, youve got grip then all of a sudden its sliding, whereas with the pirelli's i find them very progressive!! they just gently let go. and allow you the feed back to catch it. id like something with more outright grip but to get such a well balanced tyre the next step up is quite expensive!

Gsd2 or 3 n now they do a asymmetric one aswell I think.? I know the original 1 was awsome, I thought 2 wasn't as good as 1 and wore out more quickly, but haven't tryed the other two,
