Thanks mate! :) Kinda wish I'd done the Badge surround in Red now, but then if I end doing my calipers yellow it might not look so good.

They only take about 5mins a piece to do, but I can understand when you've been at work all day the last thing you wanna do is start messign about witht hings like that lol. Thats why I only really do modding at the weekend lol

Sounds absolutely awesome now :p, I removed all the plastic wrapping from the tube as it was split and looked an eyesore, and replaced by wrapping with tape, looks great now and also a lot more sleek. The plan now is to find or make tubing that will locate well around the battery without any kinks to improve the airflow and also producing a bracket to firmly hold the Filter in place.
Another great mod coming in the next couple of weeks... [B)]

Does yours sound any different since the mod?

I spoke to the guys at the factory and your springs left today (01/08/2012) and the DPD service is 2-3 days but normally they're here in 2 so you should be able to pick them up Friday mate, hope that's OK.

If not we'll have to arrange something else, as I'm off next week :D lol

Must be the going rate for second-hand Forge IKs lol. I'm going to try a few things next week to re-hose it, I'll put some pictures on when I do it anyway. Definately cannot wait for this Remap though! :D

Just wanna say fantastic Cupra mate.

When I get mine I want it to look just like yours and was wondering where do you buy the parts from?

Mainly the spoiler and alloys?

Thanks very much mate! :)

When are you looking at getting one? They are great fun!... I've got plenty more to update my RR with when I get round to it :)

The spoiler is the Seat Sport one, I bought from my local dealer in Sheffield, then got a local Vinyl wrapping company to wrap my original tailgate spoiler and the SS spoiler and got Seat to mount it to my car using the fitting kit.

The wheels are 17" MK1 Octavia VRS alloys, I had them fitted to my Mk4 FR and decided to put them on Cupra and have them powdercoated gloss black.

Will be good to see your Cupra when you get it mate.

I'm getting one as soon as my damn Corsa sells.

Are all Cupra's 17" alloys? That's the prolly the first mod i'll be doing.

Good to hear mate! One thing to consider though.. have you read about all the oil issues on the 1.4 TSI engines? I'd advise you have a look through the MK5 section of the forum pal.

Yeh the Cupra wheels if I remember correctly are 17" x 215mm, my VRS wheels are 17" x 205mm though.

Beautiful car mate, I have a candy white FR and I am wanting to do very similar mods to mine! Do you mind telling me how much your tints were and how much your alloys were to spray, just so I know I'm not going to get ripped haha! Cheers Eth :D

Hi mate,

Thankyou very much! :)

I'll have a look at your readers ride when you start it to have alook at the car.

Can't tell you about the tints unfortunately pal as they were done before I bought the car, but I think the average price for all around a car is about £150.
The wheels are Mk1 Octavia VRS wheels, I bought them a few years ago fully refurbed for £300 I think, and then had them powder coated gloss black after I bought the Cupra. I payed £150 for all 4 mate which is the best price I've seen, they were done by a guy that does it professionally for Vauxhall, he rent's a unit and does work like that on the side. The average price per wheel for refurb and powdercoat is about £45-£55 per wheel, one of my mates recently bought some Ford Zetec S wheels and had them done gloss white, they look s**t hot!

Looking forward to seeing some pics of your FR mate, btw let me know if you are wanting to lower it (I work for a suspension company and I can get lowering kits).

Cheers,
Jack.

Very nice car my friend, i'm especially liking the VRS wheels, thats an ide i've had along with the FR's ;) how'd you get your hands on them?!

Having a 2009 car, have you had any dreaded engine issues so far? I'm curious!! :)

Thanks mate, I'll have a look at yours in a min. Looks wicked in red on your avatar pic anyway.

I've had the for quite a while mate, if you look at the beginning of my RR you'll see I had them on my Mk4 FR and then had them painted black to replace the aftermarket wheels that were on the Cupra.

No problems so far mate (touch wood) even with the remap, it was originally owned by Seat UK and then an Audi technician so finger crossed it was well tested and repaired (if it needed it) in the first place

So I see!! I never noticed that haha. Thats a shame, I'm really not a fan of the standard wheels on the Cupra, they somewhat let the car down! :( I'll have to keep looking haha.

Oh thats good, so far we could be a couple of the only ones who haven't lol!

If you keep your eye out you should see some come up on eBay mate. I paid £300 for my set full refurbed in the gun metal grey sort of colour, then paid £150 to have them done gloss black when I got the Cupra, should be getting my diffuser done soon as well :).

I've really gotta update my RR, I haven't even put anything about my Remap on and that was in early August!

Yes mate fingers crossed we have no problems, what mileage had your's done when you got it?

Ahhh ill do that, that seems bloody cheap for such nice alloys!! I'd love mine in a titanium grey, but I have a feeling it won't happen until after Christmas ha.

I'm toying with the idea of gloss black diffuser, but also the rest of the plastic trim on the front, I can't decide! It'd match the mirrors anyway! :)

Haha yes, get that info on here! :D

30000, and it's just had a full service, so here's hoping!!

Jabbasport Remap

Update;

Should of updated this ages ago, I took my Cupra down the Jabbasport in early August for a custom Remap, the guys down there are brilliant and did great job.

I was amazed that on the stock run on the rolling road it only made 167bhp, Kev thought this may be as it was one of the cars with the earlier ECU and was owned by Seat UK, so may of been down-tuned to reduce any risk of problems.. who knows.

The car is fantastic now after the remap :D I'll put a copy on the graph on here at some point but its now producing 200bhp and about 230 ft.lbs of torque, definitely worth doing!
