LOL run? Can't be worse than some of the SEAT women I've met before mate... I'm sure she's aright as she's got good taste getting with someone who has an LCR lol
SCN AmD RR Day
So had a great day today at the AmD RR day despite a major error on my part yesterday..
Basically I was cleaning the engine bay and decided to check the oil, and never put the dipstick back in.... FAIL. I blame my mate who turned up with a six pack of beers which was a distraction! Lol. So go to AmD this morning and the car had splashed oil onto the engine cover and the underside of the bonnet. Not as much as expected though. Got home ok in the end thanks to El and a couple of others for making a bodge dipstick to get me home lol. All good now and the car has its normal one back in. Never again!
So AmD leant me a dipstick so I could put the car on the rollers but now I wish I didn't haha. The intake temps by 11ish were 50-60 degrees and the cars' timing were all getting pulled back. It was just too hot for the cars. Mine made peak 286bhp and 318 lb/ft torque and that was that tbh! Not sure any other stage 2 LCR's got more?!
Great company and great banter as always. Good to see older faces like JamJay and Maz (jonjay) today. Thanks to DK for organising these as it gives us another event to look forward to and his enthusiasm for it doesn't get enough recognition IMO.
Driving home I realised the clutch is 100% the next modification. I also need to get that decat spacer sorted out aswell. Loads to keep it going over the winter.
Players show in September with DK, El, Gonzo and more is next to look forward to and will probably close off the year for the car until next season when it'll come back with new mods.

Wow tom them intake temps are very high thats the sort of temps the tx used to get to on the dyno.
I think you would benfit from wmi, you can just run water to maintain lower intake temps if the meth puts you off. What sort of egt are you seeing?

Sam, everyone was seeing these temps. It was 32 degrees outside and there was 10 or more cars on the rollers before mine (creating even more heat) - it was unbearable standing outside today. The fans then in effect just blow hot air at the car. Not really though about wmi it didn't struggle on track and was fine on the way back. Will consider it if I up th power anymore but doubt I will now. Not logged the EGT's.
Sounds like you all had a good day. Shame I couldn't make it today,but had an awesome day at V fest. I even fitted my coilovers yesterday too.

AP's are awesome mate, love mine. Been spot on for a couple of years now. No complaints and handled the track time very well in July.

lovely car mate shame about the dip stick incedent but i did notice how you whacked the blame straight on your mate with the beers good drills
