Hi All,

Do all MK2 Cupra's & Cupra R's (& FR's?) have that device to produce an engine noise within the cabin, or was it from / on certain years ?

Thanks

Neil

Dnt think it's a fake noise it just allows more noise from the engine bay into the car :p the focus st's have this also think its called a synthesiser didn't know my 59 plate fl cupra had 1 tho a just thought it sounded good

It's a speaker that recreates engine noise inside the cabin ,a bit like those chav Devices that recreate the dump valve tshhhhhhhhhh noises on 1.1 fiestas!

I think it sounds pretty good, obviously not as good as the real thing but calling it Chav is a bit much IMO

getting a speaker to make it sound like something it isnt is a tad chavy but all imo of course

Not at all, the sound inside the car is the same its to keep the overall sound of the car down, i personally like being able to cruise on the motorway with very little noise

you would be surprised the amount on new cars that have this feature

It is standard equipment and does not draw any attention to the car unless you are in it, I don't think that is as chavy as choosing to stick an R badge on a car that is not an R. But that is just my opinion.

What on earth could make this chavvy? Nobody from outside can tell its there and nobody from inside can either unless u tell them. It cancels out noise that u don't want in the cabin and enhances what u do, it's not like a speaker that plays a fake engine noise. I don't see this as a negative, and besides, if u open the windows u can hear the "real" noise.

Also benjic2 how did u even find this thing, as I can't seem to find any information on this at all. Also what difference does it make to the sound in the car?
