PM'd you mate. :)
thanks mate.
Everyone i've spoken to says its a great upgrade but very labour intensive, having the handling and response of the car sorted is about the best mod we can do for these cars imho and although i have used power flex in the past its generally accepted that superpro is the superior bush.....
Whats next Tom.

I had mine done recently and a good friend basically said PU suspension bushings are a mistake. Most suspension bushings for the MkIV platform are designed to deflect. The tightness of the PU bushings feels good at first but they will soon succumb to too much flexing and break or enlarge all their holes, causing terrible slop and squeaking.

I can't see why there would be such a sizable warrenty with them if this was the case but it's something worth thinking about.

Yes Superpro are superior bushes is my opinion.. :)

Next I was thinking clutch but I'm not sure how soon tbh, been chucking money at it recently but I might do it before xmas. Depends how necessary it is really.

Got some Forge hoses I want for the engine bay too though so going to order those up soon probably.

Interesting, but I don't agree with your friend tbh.

We'll see in 3 or 4 years ;)

Could you also PM me the cost too?

Thanks

Will pm you now mate.

Hi Tom,

Just finished reading through this whole thread, all I can say is wow!!! A simply stunning LCR. A great insparation to me just starting out with my first example of the Cupra R. DK, yours is looking super as well.

Funny seeing places like Petts Wood and Orpington etc pop up. Grew up in the area, my folks live in Petts Wood area still.

Will deff be down AMD soon as I can to get a run done to get a base map with current mods done and check for any issues.

Andy.

Hi Andy,

Thanks very much for the kind comment! :D
DK's is a cracking LCR, one of the best looked after example's in the UK easily and it shows.

Haha, yes I still live here in Petts Wood but who know where I may go to in the future. Maybe somewhere with some wicked country roads as these suburban roads just annoy me now with these rubbish weekend drivers all over the show and not being able to drive anymore! :censored: But anyway, for now it's a nice area and I'm 2 mins from a Shell garage

Good call, AmD base map stage 1 is very punchy and they'll flag any other issues with the car before mapping if there is any.

Tom

LSD time.

So I've been fairly quiet by my standards in getting upgrades for my car, but holding off has paid off it would seem!

I've caved in and managed to source a Wavetrac LSD, with a low mile 02M gearbox that's been re-conditioned also. Thanks to Willie for this :)

Will be a little while before it's arrived at my friends garage for fitting but I already can't wait.

LSD is the final piece of the handling puzzle for my car. Bring it on [B)]

Awesome find on the diff, what clutch and flywheel will you use with this, OE? or awesome kit?
Will be a serious force to reckoned with once fitted

Yeah, got it at a great price too, really pleased mate.

Well, I think I'm going to keep the OE setup in for the time being as adding a clutch will be pushing funds a bit all at once what with fitting costs too... We'll see though, lol :p

Should push the car into the next bracket of performance based on what I've heard from others running the Wavetrac..
