Hey folks!

I noticed on my car it does not activate the front parking sensors, unless you have already activated reverse, which seems a bit pointless... So in otherwords, I could drive straight into a post and the front sensors will not do anything, yet if I put the car in reverse gear then drive forward the sensors are activated (as is the little display thing on the RNS indicating distance)

So my question... Is there a setting that I can enable so that the front sensors are on regardless of having to engage reverse gear first?

Also, if I wanted to swap out my 2.0 RNS for a 2.2 is it the RNS315 that I need to get? Are they all 2.2?

Thanks! :)

You could probably swap out the units without issue. 2.2 is the latest, but some RNS-315's were 2.1 I think.

As for the front parking sensors, other than pressing the button, I haven't found any way.

you can manually activate the sensors by pushing the button in the console

i wouldn't want them on all the time they would drive me nuts

Yeah imagine sitting in traffic it would drive you crazy.
I think the way they work is perfect once you've reversed there on or by pushing the button.

They still go off when you get above a certain speed. Pressing the button doesn't mean they stay on all the time.
