Got it fitted with the dvb tuner and reversing camera, had to chop the back off the stereo tray so all the wires could fit.
The reversing camera fits in the number plate light but threw up a fault on my dash, I didn't have a capacitor included but guess this is what it is for.
The radio reception is a tad poor but will recheck the power to this little silver box just in case it is not powering the aerial. when channels are saved it shows the freq instead of the name although when you are on a station the display does show the station name.
TV reception is good but as it is through the auxiliary you can't touch the buttons on screen instead you have to use the arrows which show on screen to navigate but it's not too bad.
Bluetooth is very basic no phonebook or caller ID and no track listing or playlist when streaming music.
I will be playing when I get some time to replace igo for tomtom but out of the box (I mounted the gps antenna to the A pillar) the gps fix is really quick.

There is a usb lead with a round connector on the end with 4 pins in it does anyone know what it does?
I also inquired with the seller and it will not link to an iphone like it does with an ipod to play music which is a big let down.

That's it really

Sully

If you manage to get TomTom working please let us know, tried everything on all the various websites and not managed it yet.

Anyone managed to get the 3G net connection working!??

Also (prob related to the 3G thang) has anyone had ANY luck using the Google search function on there nav to look for places!? I certainly haven't as mine will never connect - or whatever message it displays when it can't find what ya looking for!

Wondering if the 3G relies on you pairing ya phone to the headunit so that it can somehow poach ya phones 3G to connect to net???

If anyone does manage to reliably crack getting a fairly modern version of TomTom to work with this unit then i'd also like to know as my repeated attempts at contacting the seller about using tomtom, and/or there possible switch to tomtom software hasn't yet yielded any fruit!

Ok the iGo nav has gained a few brownie points with me this last week whilst on my holiday, but i still don't like the lack of being able to properly update the software (maps/poi etc!), and the underground route seems like it's taking forever to catch up!

Got mines installed last night and have to say im fairly impressed. Drove 350miles today and the sat nav didnt put a foot wrong. Getting the volumes and alerts setup to my liking took a while but overall a thumbs up.

Havent tried the bluetooth or 3G yet but will give them a try over the next few days.

Couldnt seem to choose a playlist from the Ipod but didnt spend much time playing around.

Contacted carcult about the 3G and the ipod.

The 3G requires a dongle and they have supplied details of how to set this up. I will post this later when on the computer. I have not tried it so cannot say whether it is good or not.

The ipod they think may be a setting on the ipod but im struggling to find anything, the ipod remembers last played on a docking station so i dont know why it doesnt work in the same way.

Here's the details supplied by Carcult. Untested by me as I don't own a dongle atm.

Add in the www, 15 post rule won't let me posts links.

May have found a fix for the ipod annoyance but will confirm later if it works.

Deffo interested if there's a solution for the Ipod not remembering where it was/is!

Also keen to know if anyone has a line on decent updates for the Igo nav (maps etc) or a good/fully working alterntaive to the igo (say tomtom)

Should have known though that the 3G would require "further expenditure"

Think I have figured out the ipod issue.

I did two things at once so not entirely sure which one fixed it but it's working and thats the main thing.

1st thing I did was:
Connect the ipod to Itunes
Go to library
Select all track (CTRL+A)
Right Click, Select Get Info
Click yes to warning for editing multiple tracks
Goto Options
Check the box for remember playback position
Also select yes in drop-down if option is there
Click ok

2nd Part I did was:
With the ipod still connected
Click on My Ipod in left hand menu
Check the Manually manage music and files box
Sync'd Ipod
Eject Ipod

I have only tried this on playlists and not on shuffle mode on the head unit but so far this has worked well for me. Let me know how you get on.

Edit to above (not giving me the choice to edit the post for some reason):

Try part 2 only first, part 1 can be a nuisance because if you have skipped a song half way through it remembers this and continues from this point next time it plays this track.

The iPod issue is a head unit issue imo, if it were iPod related then it wouldn't remember where it was on its own or connected to docks etc and it does!, even the standard Seat head unit allows the iPod to remember last track played and its position!

This is something to do with a software tweak that's needed or some hardware that's missing from the head unit and not a fault of your iPhone/iPod!

It's a small annoyance but I guess there's sod all we can do about it!

I'm more bothered about being able to get updates for the nab and keep it upto date - this to me is far more important. Really wanna see some forward motion on this front because had I known that the nab was NOT updatable I probably wouldn't have bought this particular unit of I'm honest!

Yes, it is a head unit issue which i think is due to it coming out of accessory mode when the car is off. May be wrong though.

However, the workaround i detailed in previous posts has worked for me. Ipod starts off from the right place every time.

So reading the above then - all you have done is set the ipod for manually manage music and this has sorted the problem yes/no!?

i see from the above that ticking the remember position tab balsses thing up royally!!

Yeah that's all i did with the ipod and it works fine (on playlists definitely). Goes back to the start of the track but it does remember the track which is a massive improvement.

Good spot on the nav, downloading now!

I've D/loaded the 3rd one down (the one with all the poi/fdr/fpc blah blah included!), you can't miss em as all the updated files have "NEW" next to them in blue;), there's a wee bit o txt below the file links that tells you where to put all the sperate files

personal choice n all that too but i went into the d/loaded files and removed all the maps etc i didn't want (everything except Uk basically!) which dramatically reduces the file size, all you do then is get rid of your old map files etc and replace them with these.

I'm highly tempted to get one of these. Has anyone any comments on the sound quality of the units? Most of the discussion up to know seems to have concentrated on the satnav. Its main use will be playing music from my Ipod.
