i would like a standard looking set just with projector lenses to reduce glare and make a better beam pattern for hids..

Haha. I like them but I want some all black ones :). Just want xenon as it looks so much better!

mine are the black set as didn't like the chrome ones...unfortunately the indicators are chromed but they look better in person

there aren't any other aftermarket xenon headlights around as i looked high and low

can you fit hid bulbs in them?

whats the beam pattern like?

i'd be temped to buy a set and butcher the 'r8 style' leds so just the top one lights up as normal and then maybe use tint spray on the rest to hid them...

You can get a set made by DEPO that are the factory Xenon type units....then order the D1S HID Kit for them, plug and play and boom, got factory Xenon look for around £250. £100 per light unit and £50 for a HID kit. That's what i'm doing when i get mine. Did exactly the same with my Fabia VRS.

Here's the link on DEPO's site....(can't post it cos i'm at lower than 15 posts!) but go to google, type in DEPO headlights, then go to their site, click "products" then type in the model of car, just write "ibiza" click the blue PDF Document on the right and when it loads up the unit is on the 3rd page, 3rd unit down on the left hand side.

You can call WINGMIRRORMAN.COM and they can get them for you. That's where i got the Fabia one's from and quite a few of us did it on briskoda. IMO spending a little more cash and getting the complete look is way better than fitting a HID kit to standard halogen headlight units.

I can't find the DEPO website :(.

Just literally type in "Depo Headlights" on google and the second link down says "History - Depo" click that....that's the site, it's not fancy, just a plain Japanese site. When it loads, look at the banner in the top...and follow my instructions above. If for some daft reason u can't find it still, just give that wingmirrorman.com a ring ...a half decent sounding girl will answer...give her your reg plate and tell her you want the DEPO Xenon units. She may be able to get u the original Valeo units as well but will obiously be more cash! Let me kno how u go on mate

apologies for the late reply

yes you can, i have hid's in mine and the pattern is a clean line as on OEM xenons, however, these have a diagonal tail-off up to the left (correct for UK) whereas i believe the OEM units give off a completely flat beam pattern

there is no glare at all after you align the height and you stick the electric levelling motors from your OEM units in them so all will work as it should.

When you buy the original projector lights and hid kit from depo are the electric levellers included?

What about washer jets and the levellers won't be reactive will they? Sounds like a MOT fail to me unless your know the tester..

The electric level motors don't come with the units, you just use your existing electric motors from the original headlight units. Both mine worked fine when I retro fitted my Fabia VRS. As for MOT they will fail if you don't have washer jets. So helps if you know the tester.

Also the HID kit doesn't come from depo, got mine from HIDSDIRECT.COM they were spot on. No errors and only £55.

you can't be failed as the vehicle is tested for manufacturer's standard equipment: i.e. if your vehicle doesn't come with washer jets or auto levelling from standard they won't test for that.

they can fail you for glare, an irregular beam pattern, if the manual levelling system doesn't work (these need to be transferred to the new headlights from your OEM ones)

it will also depend on the tester and whether he's in a good mood or not...

Bad news as well lads, my previous post about the DEPO lights and been able to get them from WINGMIRRORMAN ...sadly not. Went to order myself a set and apparently they catalogue nearly every car yet don't always out the lamps into development. They did make my fabia ones though and for the same year it's strange. But there you go. Looks like a dealer job if you have a spare £700! As both units are RRP £357 each from SEAT!
The most realistic option is to stalk the hell outta eBay and see if there's any on there.
I am however in touch with another trade motor factor trying to get the units cheaper, the real deal Valeo units...got a guy coming back to me with a price tomorrow. I mentioned a few of us on here may want them so get a good price for us. I'll be back to let u lot know.
