Dash Rattle

Pulled on dash and it stopped....until next bump iun the road!
Noticed a velcro strip with some padding on about 5cm from corner of windscreen where it meets dash so reckon previous owner had tried to bodge it[:@]. PSX beware it doesn't work padding it.If i take the wipers off -how do you get the scuttle plate off to see if this siren?
Its a LCR with 38K on the clock

Can't believe it! The siren hardly moved but it has stopped the squeaky rattle. Used bubble wrap and some foam from an old bike helmet.

My squeak/rattle on seems to happen when taking corners....sounds like it's in time with the fan(s) in the dash and mostly under the centre and left hand vents!

Anyone any ideas that won't involve a dasherectomy?

rattling

Haven't got round to having a look at the siren yet but mine sounds like its the dash where it meets the windscreen esp when going over bumps.Any one else got this:confused

mine also sounds like it's the dash meeting the windscreen bit which squeeks. If I push down on the dash it goes away but I can't be driving round like that...

Rattle In Tailgate Area Leon 2005 AUQ

Hi Guys, Ive spent the last couple of evenings in the dark..with a torch and in the rain lol trying to find a rattle coming from somewhere in the boot. Ive had/got every plastic trim off and found...

The metal clips that hold the trim on around tailgate glass were loose, even found some in the actual tailgate causing a rattle

The plastic trim where the spare wheel is, the nuts are missing cousing this to rattle too lol

After a couple of road tests there was still rattles..

The tailgate handle mechanism, the rods are really loose. Is this common?

Lubricated most of the parts but it still rattles.

If anyone could advise me that would be great as this is my first Seat. Apart from the rattles the car is ace.

try shaking the seats see if thats the rattle or not if it is bend the tabs that the seats fold and clip into cured mine. also i had a rattle in the boot and i adjusted the rubbers that the boot closes onto and it sorted the problem.

Cheers for the reply, Ive put some tape over the seat catches which has cured the squeak! Will have a look again at the tailgate over the weekend and try adjusting the rubbers.

Did the same with mine, they may still rattle at the bottom pivot though as I think mine are still rubbing/rattling by there, and it's a much harder job to get something in there to stop it :S I haven't attempted pulling that all apart yet!
