you should have said at the last AmD meet. It will be back on the road in april so you can have a drive then. :)

Defo mate, let's meet up then :D

Just looked at that spec list of your car again... certainly is a one off. Looks like a lot of money but like you say, will I get more if I was looking to spend that on another car for the same money? I doubt it.

One day mate, one day.... it may happen.

EL's been in it, ask him until you get round to driving it :D

Time will tell re the Chinese turbos. If you can get the power out of them and they remain reliable. Price and where they're made is irrelevant.

I've driven it literally 2 miles home so far and was getting a feel for the new clutch so no Wavetrac testing has been done as yet!

Clutch feels like OEM, light and has a lovely bite too. Very pleased!

The gear linkage bushes seem to really have brought the changes all together. Seems very precise selecting gears now. The Forge short shifter is still on there. 3rd into 4th is a dream now, very very race feel about it. Love it.

The gearbox oil was all fully flushed and no corners have been cut which I'm always going to receive when it's with my mate Martin at his garage (Chelsfield Motor Works). Big thanks to them all there for looking after it and doing a cracking job. They treat the car like their own pride and joy.

Miles need to be covered now just to bed this clutch in nicely and make sure all is well ready for some proper driving! :D

Great to hear Tom :) How many miles would need to be covered before you can open up the taps a bit? Is there a recommended amount or is just down to personal feel and confidence? The Awesome clutch sounds like a great buy? Enjoy buddy :)

I spoke to my mate about this today and we agreed with town driving every week which I'll do a bit of in the evenings, it could be upto 500 miles or so. Won't be too long to be honest, but I've made a note of the mileage now to keep a check on it and see how it feels after some miles have been put on.

The clutch kit is great value and my mate also told me that the clutch went on easier than my OEM one came off! Time will tell if it's as good as it's made out to be but from El's review and other's on here I had to go for it and get the LSD all sorted at the same time.

And thanks mate :)

I like the sound of your plans for 2013 Tom.

With regards to the throttle body cover, I'm not sure what you have in mind, but I would recommend the WhanAB TB billet cover; Cheap as chips, perfect fit and excellent quality. Here's a picture of mine, for reference (hope you don't mind):

I also meant to add to my 2013 plan list... Power steering and washer bottle cap upgrades. JCaps probably.

The Awesome one seems to be pretty much the same as the one I have. Reasonably priced too. I purchased mine from ebay, through a seller called "whanab_audi_vw_designer_parts". It was priced at $39.99 +$13.23 p&p, which equals roughly 32 pounds posted.

Here's a link to the seller;he doesn't have a link for the item (selling as a set) but you might want to email him for an individual listing.

TBH Tom, the Awesome product looks exactly the same (it might be made by the same manufacturer actually) and is equally priced. Great product, which makes such a difference to the look of the TB :)

Change the oil cooler from a possible to a definite mate, trust me you will need it if you hit the tracks next year.

Top news on getting the car back. Try and take it easy for a little while to bed the clutch in. It takes some raw abuse from me so fingers crossed you should have no issues with yours. Look forward to seeing the 2013 plans come together.

Btw did you adjust the coilovers?
