What's your budget for the car?
My guess is, unless you get 2nd hand parts, it will cost you the same to get an FR to 300bhp as it would to buy a Cupra and get a Stage 1 map. That's before you consider the other benefits of the Cupra...
Stage 1 FR will see about 250ish.
Im looking in between 8 and 9 thousand, but I don't want older then 2008.
And to be honest I think 250 is probably going to enough, as I don't really want to spend a lot on mods and I'm not power mad, all I would do is coilovers rear defuses with central exhaust maybe full system and induction kit, but what gets me if I did that on cupra I would get 300bhp but I would be spending 9k and above for the but with the fr ill have stage one car how I want it for the same price as the cupra

My opinion would be, unless you want DSG, get a Cupra. £500 on a remap will see over 300bhp. You'll regret not getting the stronger engine and the K04 turbo that comes with the Cupra if tuning is on the agenda.
Don't forget the cupra has the better brakes and the aluminium front arms.
The aluminium front arms are they the same as fitted to the S3 and TTRS? Do they save much weight over stock FR ones?
