Hello

I have had my LCR 2 weeks now, i havent seen more then 65 miles to £20 and hardly see over 25mpg, always around 23.8 or lower, its very low 20's and thats driving like an old fart, what do you guys get? every other thread is OLD and need to compare to todays lifestyle, i dont put my foot down at all.

Fill it up properly and this should improve.
From a FULL tank I can expect around 26-30mpg from mixed driving.

Yep, you're best off brimming it and working out the total miles per tank. Once the yellow light comes on you have 7 litres left.

You'll always get erroneous readings if you're working it out based on 20 quid.

What's the point get a lcr and moaning about MPG and driving like a granny?
Maybe a vauxhall agila is more up your street

Yes whats the point in asking about mpg

And you never put your foot down at all?

Sell it as its not the car for you!

Remember its cold so takes an age to warm up right now! Your looking at 30mpg combined with sensible driving

About 25 having a bit of fun

I agree with the comments of fuel saving and lcr don't go together,, buy a fr derv instead, but yours does seen low on fuel economy I only have a 6 mile round trip commute and still see 29mpg although at the weekend it drops a little to around 26 mpg as I actually drive it correctly then

Seen an all time high of 32mpg on my lcr the other day!!! 6th gear run to Edinburgh & back sitting at 70/80 mph 

Majority of time see mid twenties but I don't do much miles on my daily commute

Get ur car scanned for faults as faulty thermostats & coolant temperature senders lead to poor economy

warming up the car for say 3-5 mins and granny driving for a while to warm the car dose drink the petrol, from warming up to cooling down.doing this i think you lose about 1 or 2 miles or so just doing this, its wasted petrol at the end of the day but its what needs to be done with turbo cars..........................
but i dose get me when people say what mpg do you get in a turbo car  its a petrol turbo car or am i missing the point........................
for example ........hi im chris and im looking to get a audi Q7 i decided to get one but then i thought id save money and get the 6,0 L v12 TDI ..................wtf:whistle:

old and not applicable to todays lifestyle? oh yes the LCR really is that old.. when i got mine it was just fields round here....

what is your typical journey? miles, speed, traffic? etc? (be honesst) as if the typical drive is only 5 miles then your screwed as you wil barely get any mileage with the car warmed up.

from what i have read on here many people get low 20s, most probably 26/27 mpg and some over 30mpg. a few, rarely can get 35+ but this needs long easy going drives.

Cupra drivers dont seem to fair any/much better.

I got 44.3 mpg from my cupra r last nite on a 65 mile trip to Norwich, cleared the mpg thing as I filled up so car was at full temp. Quarter of a tank from clacton to Norwich, it was a boring journey though.
