You can get a brand new M3 for £600 a month at the minute, 0% APR too! Dealer contribution is huge!

BMW's are a lot of money new, but no one can argue the £25k that warrington BMW just sold my Dad's old 330D M sport coupe for isn't good value. It was £42k brand new in June 2011, 12K miles on it and virtually every extra too. A lot of car for the money!

I had a play with a new V8 M3 a while back in my old Evo 8 and pushed him right upto 120+mph. We had a wee chat after it and he said he was very surprised I was pushing him. I was running 360bhp so I'd imagine the seat to be just as if not quicker.

I really don't rate the M3, never have done tbh. For £50k I'd rather have a GTR or Porsche turbo.

So the car lost almost 20K in value in 1.5 years......... Ouch!

Another BMW hater here.
Driven a few, hated all of them.

One bonus (if you want to call it that given what you pay): the interior of a higher-spec 5-series is very nice and the ride is smooth.

So many more reliable/powerful/fun/charming cars for the money.

To be honest, for the moment, I'd have the Stg2+ Cupra over a brand new M3. But I'm still young and like the hatchback thrills :)

I had the first stage 2+ Leon Cupra and have been driving them for five years give or take - there is a lot if compromise when you go past the comfort point.

The M3 is a better car in almost every way to the Leon (other than running costs) and you are comparing apples and pears with the old standard vs tuned thing.

Agreed with those above that would take a GTR or 911 Turbo over the M3 though.
