However, your dpf is getting on and may clog up more frequently, might be worth investigating into dpf deletes. Also your prone to injector failures so make sure they have been changed for free by seat

im 08 plate on 53000 all fine, 80% my driving is motorway though. Graham has valid point, dpf delete may be worth the investment

Had my late 06 a month now and love it, only 40k but did the timing belt there because of its age and it had the injectors done by seat, first car to take me away from 5-6 years of honda

how much is a dpf delete ?

are the injectors a seat recall item ?

Yea they are a recall and the dpf delete seems to vary 400-600, thats with a performance map

Was looking through my log book and seen my fr had the injectors replaced at 17k miles :D, Should probably check service history too...

170 at that age fr. 220 max from dpf delete. And I think the means the bucket seat supports near your arse, they get crushed by people not getting out and in right

228 Max ;) with illegal amounts of smoke

Or 260+ with a different turbo

Do a full VCDS scan, ask the dealer to test (this are standard test and anyone can request):
- full visual inspection test
- turbo test
- engine compression test
- check antifreeze and break fluid (it says something about the owner, if he was interested in doing a good maintenance or not!)
- check for brake disks (if you need to change them, it will add up some good $)

ASK dealer/independent to explain the errors if they exist, because usually they erase them!
(repeated lambda errors may show you need a new one, also expensive)

After purchase, do an oil change + all filters. Check the DV (prone to failure) and camfallower (also prone to big and disastrous failure) This are not to expensive!

Next step: Hit the gas and ENJOY! :)
cheers

Mines Petrol rather than Diesel but apart from the engine everything else is the same. Had mine from new and no problems at all, apart from a recent intermittent (now stopped) CD error message.

FR is a great car, just check what you would on any other used car i would say, good luck with it.
