Christ the quality of instructors has really gone down hill. Mine could tell bang on how fast 30 and 40 was!

Would you be happy to take a speeding ticket from a police officer who knew you were doing 40 in a 30 ? - or would you rather he used the provided equipment ?

Would you rather pass/fail a driving test based on factual evidence or the seat of the pants FEEL of an instrictor / examiner ?

Id rather an instructor who was experienced.

Most experienced drivers who stick to the speed limit will instinctively know what 30-ish mph feels like.

I take pride in what I do and strive to offer the most enjoyable and best value learning experience possible. Different roads and cars give a different impression of speed and therefore guessing the speed is a sloppy and unacceptable practice in my profession.

I appreciate your support DEAN0.

Experienced in instructing and accurate at guessing speeds are totally different things.

I would rather my instructor was able to concentrate on what I was doing and taught me how to drive correctly rather than spending his time assessing speed by feel.

I know a motorcycle traffic copper - he has a scary ability to accurately assess the speed of an approaching car/van. ( proved by also having a laser gun behind him so he could not see it )
No matter how accurate he is - not a court in the world would accept his assessment in a prosecution.
