Hi all, could really do with some suggestions as I know the 17544 error code can mean ALOT of different things. Ive got a 180bhp Cupra AUQ on a 05 plate, the only four things added to the car are Forge 007p DV, K&N 57i, psi Boost guage and a Scorpion Non-resonating Cat-back stainless steel exhaust system.
Since Ive had the exhaust fitted, every third day nearly I get the 17544 error code on my Vag-Com for Long term fuel trim, Bank1 "Lean"
. I reset the code after trying things like looking for vacuum leaks and cleaning the MAS. I got in touch with Scorpion and they suggest a Stage1 remap would cure this as it started when the exhuast was fitted, so I called my local tuning centre and they quote £350 for a stage1 but say the problem is more likey due to the Lambda sensor being damaged when the exhuast was fitted. Most times I go back to the garage and say there is something not right with the car they say "oil from the K&N on the MAS", after much research on this K&N STRONGLY deny any such problem and call it an "urban myth"
Ive checked forums on the subject of 17544 error code and done my best to check for most things, I only have a basic OBDII reader and dont think I can look at measuring banks.
Any suggestions would be very much apreciated.
