Changing gear lever - swap from a Golf?

I really dislike the gearknob in the Leon so I'm thinking of swapping it with the one from the Golf MK5/ MK6. Can anyone confirm if this will work? 6 speed. Thanks

Feel for clipsvjolding gaiter and chrime surround in and release

Turn gaiter inside out to reveal underside of knob (cough)

Remove 'one time only' metal clip holding old knob and remove and swap.

Mine is a seat sport ball but i want the pre fl FR one.....cant find one tho

Lol I actually prefer the Leon one to the golf one. Is the picture a golf mk5 one? Have you looked at and Audi one ?might be some better looking ones tom like a rs4 if their Manual

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm trying to keep it as OEM as possible hence I was looking at the Golf one.

Be very careful when changing the surround over...

The Chrome surround is very very weak! and will snap easily - I'm not too bothered about mine now, I'll matt black wrap it at some point but just so you know

Personally I would put the Leon one back on. I think it looks much better than the mundane looking Golf one.

Yep, that's the best looking gearknob IMO and goes well with the car. However, I would only put it in a FR Leon.
