Afternoon Folks! Hope your all enjoying a sunny weekend!

Ive been spending the morning fixing a few niggly faults with my Ibiza and im on to the interior light switch...

I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue?

In the off position its fine, but in any other position the switch hangs out...

If you rotate it 90 degrees it falls out...

It seems to me like a sealed unit so not sure if it needs a new switch or how on earth to get into it??

Cheers!

To remove the light remove the plastic bit the bulbs are behind, then there are 2 screws, remove and then pull the whole unit out. Unplug and then you have the unit free from the car to work on.

Put your finger nails under the bit closest the windscreen and it sort of folds in towards you. Use a screwdriver if you have no nails.

Fixed it! I fashioned a washer out of garden wire and it works a treat!

Thanks for all your help folks )

Haha good fix, I had to make a plastic washer out of some old packaging to fit the nut back in to my new door mirror as it had cross threaded. Never underestimate the power of a man and a DIY solution :funk:

haha nice! Your right you know! I wonder how much that fix would have cost me at a garage!

Only thing thats wrong now is the rear washer not working. I think that taking the boot interior off might be slightly more difficult than the light though!
