When plugged in my Mk2 Leon 1.9 TDi is producing the following codes:
1) P0299- Boost Pressure Regulation: Control Range Not Reached
2) P2100-Throttle Actuator Control Motor Circuit/Open
3) P2102-Throttle Actuator Control Motor Circuit Low
The story so far....
-Last week Emissions Control System warning light came on and car went into limp mode
-Local garage advised that throttle actuator needs replaced (VW only part at £380 + fitting, apparently). They didn't mention anything about error code #1.
-Car runs ok, apart from low boost which obviously affects performance.
I'm looking for some advice as to whether it's likely I have 1 or 2 issues here. Is error code #1 likely to have caused errors #2 & #3? I'm reluctant to spend £400+ on a throttle actuator when there may be some other issue with the turbo that's causing problems.
Yes, I know I need to get it hooked up to VAGC OM. I'm still trying to find someone who is able to provide a more detailed analysis instead of just code reading. So in the meantime I'd be grateful for any thoughts/advice.
Thanks
