Hi guys,

A mate of mine has offered me first dibs on his BAM engine, now since winter is on its way i would have plenty of time for a project. (stripping the engine down and rebuilding with parts for stage 2)

Now my question is, i have an LCR with an AMK would it be as simple as just dropping the BAM engine in or would i have to change any wiring/ Mapping?

I can get the ecu from his car if that needs changing.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks gaz

why would u want to? There essentially the same engine just a different map as standard which is why the BAM has 15 bhp more over the AMK. Both engines once
Remapped come out the same. the internals turbo etc are both the same

Exactly the same engine mate.

You say rebuilding for stage 2? Technically there are no internals needed for stage 2 so you are wasting your money

Yeah I just want to do the internals of the bam engine over the winter. I need my car with the AMK on the road ATM to get to work.

I've always wanted to rebuild one of these engines but could never justify having my car off the road.

Unless he wants rods for piece of mind it's intercooler full exhaust uprated TIP AND an air filter for stage 2

Yeah I only want the rods really,as you say for piece of mind. Plus I wanna get my hands dirty and have a pretty engine by starting from the beginning and making sure everything is shiny and clean :) I currently have TIP FMIC and air filter on my AMK
