Would you mind adding a side profile shot? would be good to see how it looks with the FR wheels. Most of the FR's seem to have the 18" upgrade.

Love the apollo blue, I've just ordered a 1.4 TSI SC in apollo blue and I also got the standard alloys for the exact same reason.

I'm curious, your apollo blue looks nicer than all the others on google images, have you done something to the paint?
Having taken advice from this forum, I just gave the new car a good wash and waxed it with Meguiers wax and it looks fantastic. Only about an hours work in total.
Unless I am missing something I can't see the point of spending £100 to get someone to do that for you.
Good on you mate, if you are happy then that is the main thing. Personally I don't think you will ever get a finish on your paintwork like this in an hour.
Yes, spent more than an hour on it. Professional detailing makes the difference.

Ah that's a downer, I was hoping my cars paint would look like yours when it gets delivered. Probably won't bother with the detailing, I do 100 miles a day and it gets dirty pretty quick so can't justify spending much money or time on cleaning as it gets undone so quickly.

It's unfair to compare natural vs. artificial light shots.
I am a detailing nerd but in all honesty it's about 75% effort, 25% product. So if you like a detailed car it comes down to motivation & time vs. cash to spend. You can get a pro look yourself for years for about £60 - you just need some sealant to protect your paint (under £20), some polish (£7 auto glym is fine), a half decent wax for 30 odd quid and a few pads and microfibre cloths.
The only thing I would visit a detailer for would be to get a machine polisher on it to sort the orange peel (which is quite bad on SEATs so mine is having it done before xmas): http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=317154

Yeah, I don't disagree with anything you said there Dean. My comparison was to say you cannot get that level of finish in an hour with a good wash and some Meguiars. My car has been into a professional detailer twice now. Once when I first got it as I wanted to treat it and save myself the time. Then secondly into KDS as I needed some other bits doing at the same time, so it made sense to combine everything at the same time. He took care of a stone chip, a scuff on my door handle, a dent in my roof and some machine polishing on the bonnet. I couldn't do all of that myself.
Orange Peel? I have never noticed any orange peel effect on my last two SEAT Ibiza's.
