Problem with that article is its not an official announcement from VOSA,MOT,DVLA etc so until i see an official document i wouldn't believe that document.

That's the one mate. I had mine done there. Have you seen the new law coming in? Don't know if that's just removal though. Because if the DPF is still there and just deleted they'll never know?

I know. What does this mean? A waste of money? But it's just a delete, not actual removal. So I'm puzzled. Where does this leave us? Especially as mine is for sale at the minute....

Im not affected because my FR TDI is long gone, but i have been one of the long standing DPF delete advisers on here...

From what i can see they just need to check that the DPF is there, so if its gutted it will still pass.. unless they reduce the smoke density limit even less

Hi peeps Hmm that doc's interesting point think I've seen somewhere similar 4 petrol cars as in mot rules state if a cat's fitted as standard itt's got 2 b present at mot time. BUT how's it gunna b checked if u pass smoke test but don't have a dpf is it a fail ?OR is it down 2 the garage 2 decide how strictly it enforces it?

Will is 94 miles/2 hours from my house.

I would assume from whats been said that like a petrol, Doesn't matter if it passes if the CAT isn't there. Then its a fail.

However... Most DPF deletes/custom exhaust places are pretty wise to it now and will make it look like you have a dpf
