first problem was no bolts or speed nut with it, so a trip to local VW garage to order these

absolute nightmare trying to cut the right size hole out as i could not be bothered in removing the console.

found out the hole was still too small then carried on cutting till finally i got to this :)

Please note i did not remove the console out at all just worked around it which is why it was a right pain. I put the speed nuts in and finally gt the bracket in place
 
N 903 285 02 hexagon head bolt shoulder (x2)

N 903 010 01 snap nut (x2)

1JO 711 354 adapter (x1)

N 015 083 11 hexagon nut shouldered (x1)

Total is about £12

Some part numbers may have changed, if so the garage will know the new ones cus he did for me....

Ooooh bloody hell bout 6 years and dnt wanna let it go as mileage is next to nothing only 34,000 on clock and yes that genuine mileage too with full service to prove....

Bought it at 7,000 on clock

I think it all looks really good so far.

As long as you don't go sticking "Cupra R" badges on it you won't get any disrespect from me.

as per title 1.6 will always be that and not a cupra r thanks anyway for comment
 
Nice work. Going the same route as mine Leon onces gone. Started as a 1.6 and ended as a own build Cupra R.
