Hello all. I'm new to the SEAT world and have jumped straight in with a Leon Cupra R. I've always loved cars and modified every one I have owned. :D
So my last car was '54 Fiesta ST

So onto the R, I have never owned a turbocharged car, I've driven a fair few but none my own. I did look at an R about 5 years ago but was not right for me at the time plus insurance was astronomical back then.

I found this Ebony Black '05 plate LCR relatively close to home so I went to look at it. After a few test drives, me checking it out to within an inch of its life we struck a deal and the following week it was mine.

These are a few of the pics from the dealer as I have not been able to take any of my own due to the awesome weather we're currently experiencing

The one I did take after washing both the LCR and the ST

The spec as I understand it is as follows -
05 LCR standard spec (Seats, brembos etc)
56K, full service history, mainly by Awesome GTi and later in life AmD
Remapped by AmD Essex to Stage1
Green Cotton induction kit
Eibach lowering springs
Miltek exhaust with decat
Auto gauges on A pillar - oil temp and Bar/psi
Approximately 265bhp:confused:
Tinted windows all around

Planned/Already bought for car (which I'm not meant to be modifying)
'R' badge for the boot
Heko wind deflectors
SONY bluetooth stereo
Visit to AmD for a 'once over' and a RR run to check figures etc

I have owned the LCR for 2 weeks now and it is joy to drive.

Cheers for reading, I will update soon.

Yep EmDee's old car, nice to see it back on the forum :D

Cheers D.K, is EmDee still around on here? Or has he moved on long ago? Nice to know it's a good car always gives you that extra peace of mind.

Yesterday I fitted some Team Heko wind deflectors, no pics yet.
Fitted a New tax disc holder

And also had a SONY bluetooth stereo fitted. Was half price from Halfords so the wife got it for me as an early birthday pressie.

265bhp high for stage one?

I honestly wouldn't know mate. These were the figures told to me when sold. I'm not one for 'figure chasing' but I will get it rolling road tested at some point this year. Hopefully there will be a RR day at AmD or similar on here?

I'll be organising one at AmD soon, probably around March

That'd be great. Should have it somewhere near my standard by then. Will kep an eye out. :)

Not unrealistic for a Stg one remap. The LCR platform responds really well to Stg one remaps by all accounts. As long as it drives nice, that's the main thing.

The paint work looks to be in good condition, as does the car. EmDee has a thread on here for his Polo, although I don't think he's updated it for a while.

As said by others, great to see an old forum car back. I'll look forward to seeing how you get on with it :)

Cheers. I didn't think it was unrealistic to be honest. I know a bit about cars and this seemed a reasonable figure for the current state of tune. Although looking at EmDees thread it would seem it only reached the 250 mark.
But as you said it's how it drives which is important. And it drives lovely.

I gave it a good clean a few days ago and it is now tucked up in my garage awaiting an engine bay clean.
This was the first section of roof done with fresh clay aftet a 2bm wash

This was the same on the whole of the roof, bonnet and boot! Yuck.

Engine bay given a clean

Then added an 'AmD' decal

Put an 'R' badge back on the boot

And a cheeky reflection shot from the bonnet

:funk:

No real updates just clean shots and one showing the Team Heko wind deflectors

Car is also off to my mechanic this afternoon for a quick health check. First time it'll go on the ramps in my ownership. Hoping it's all hunky dorey as have got some money to buy a few mods if nothing needs urgent attention. Fingers crossed! :-/
