looking to buy a turbo intake pipe for my leon cupra r before i get a stage 1 tune sometime in the very near future.
these on ebay go from anything from £40 to £180 80mm silicone hoses .
basically has anyone had any experiences with the cheaper hoses and are they basically all ok for a stage 1 tune .
I prob know i will prob hear you get what you pay for but are the cheaper ones really that bad .

R--tech say not to buy a piece of crap TIP off of eBay as they're no good, so that was enough for me not to. I bought a forge one for 150 but there are cheaper decent ones out there from what I hear. Don't cheap out is my advice, they're cheap for a reason

I've got js performance TIP on mine and it's very good quality stuff ! tad expensive but made to order

Any proven gains on a badger 5 tip over alternatives such as forge or samco?

Without remap you will hear the turbo spool up quicker and louder.. And with remap you will get better gains and full potential out of it..

I've not got a badger 5 tip YET! It I on my very soon list though . Soon as I'm back to work , one will be ordered!
Very good things have been said about it . Speak to bill at badger 5 if your not sure . I think its worth eveRy penny .

Dont get me wrong the forge one is good too as it does wot it should do., but personally the minute i changed to the 3" badger 5 TIP
I straight away knew I made the right choice..

Has nobody got any comparison Dyno graphs with the b5 tip vs others on same car ?
If I can see a good increase I will buy one as I have samco ATM

looks like i will have to save my pennies for a badger 5 . is there much difference between the normal 80mm tip and the v2 to warrant a extra £40 £50 quid though .

A decent tip is a must if you're going to remap or a good thing to have even if you're not. I couldn't believe how flimsy and **** my standard one was once I got it off and I completely believe it would start to collapse under hard acceleration. It's money well spent mate
