Parking wardens where we live, Matalan £90 fine if you park over the white lines,noticed asda have parking warden aswell,supermarkets,guarenteed one day you'll get a dent and you'll be royally pissed off next time you polish your car!
that's intresting! did see the parking job advertised! you'd have to be good with confrontational people,wonder why!
I disagree, you have to be the type of person that likes watching puppies bleed to death.

He doesn't have to pay
It's no more than a receipt, it's not a fine, they have no legal standing at all. To force you to pay, they would have to take you to (civil) court and win. Private parking companies very very rarely take people to court, and even rarer is a victory for them! The only one that I can remember was a guy that parked in a car park and was ticketed every day for like 6 months, he couldn't really base his defence on "I didn't know!". Having said that, the amount he would have had to pay would have been much less than 180 x £90 (or whatever they charge).
Realise you don't have pay!cant understand why they have parking wardens - seems no point! (or is it some people are non the wiser and pay)

Had one in our black Ibiza from a woman in a Merc....'its only a car' she said. Luckily the dent came out (for £40) but the paint is still chipped
When I first went self employed I had a old escort van . Tatty old thing it was , but still it was my van . Parked up in sainsburys and a merc pulled up next to me . Fairly new ! Nice gun metal grey !

A small part of me dies everytime I see a new sctrach or dent in my car. I'm not exactly well off and struggle to make ends meet, one of my smallest joys is my nice leon that I saved really hard for, then to find some careless moron not having the respect and care for other peoples property just depresses me.
Its not just cars though these days, people in general just have no respect for other people. Cant see or think of anything further than there own nose.

If it make you feel better,i have 3 parking dents and winter time the front of my car got gattling gunned by a salt spreader! have a dent removal guy turning up in a hour,fingers crossed he can remove them! people these days are in a hurry and don't care about other people unfortuantly! CAR ENTHUSIASTS A DYING BREED
Well 7 dents/dinks removed from car for £60 pounds over the moon, the guy was a perfectionist! dent magic Carlisle!

Following my incident last week I got my dent sorted too, the guy was a great, company called Dents Inc in Cheshire, he covers Cheshire, Staffordshire and Greater Manchester - highly recommended!
He actually pointed out two other minute dints on the door that I hadn't seen, so he sorted all three of them for me. After he finished it was perfect, he explained that one of them was a bad repair someone else had done, probably the dealer I bought it from.
Much happier now

Another annoying thing I noticed also ...... When a road has been relaid. Signs up for 10 mph , so most people stick to it . Then you get the knob jockey in a BMW over take everyone and pepper your car with stones , because he's late for work and couldn't get his fat arse out of bed .

I don't think it is just the lease hire and company car people , i think there is a massive percentage of people who just simply don't care and have no respect whatsoever for other peoples property ,i tend not to comment on what i would like to happen to these people some people think my views are a bit extreme .
