Hi Guys,

Can you recommend any good places for servicing of my Cupra R (04) ?

Auto Volks popped up but could not find many positive reviews?!

Thanks in advance

Tony

Its also little things like filling the new oil filter with oil before you screw it on etc, getting the engine up to temperature before draining the oil etc.

I will second that if doing it yourself doesnt appeal and you have the cash to spare. I had a Stage 1 remap done there and they know the VW 1.8 turbo engine inside out.

Midland VW have been good, but never trust anyone! I always check my oil if someone else has serviced it and Midland VW over-filled mine by a full inch over the maximum fill level on the dipstick!

Dub Unit
Tolsons Mill, Lichfield St, Fazeley, Tamworth B78 3QA
01827 288778

Give them a try next time bud, 15 years they have been doing Vag cars all my pals been there and never had any complains.

Do it yourself mate, its hardly rocket science, and to be fair i took my car to midland vw once when i couldny be arsed myself and although the service was ok the money i paid for the remap etc was wasted as the car was no different when i got it back, never been back since and never will.

I also live in Solihull and have had my cupra (2003) and am new to all this. Realistically could I do it myself? If not how much should a service cost? From what I've been told, I'm gunna change spark plugs, air/oil/fuel/pollen filters as I'm looking to get it stage 1 mapped. Sound as if they're good parts to change early on? Thanks guys
