Hi guys,
Over the last two weekends I've fitted powerflex bushes to my wishbones, front and rear. I've also got ball joints to fit and coilovers.

Quick question really with the coilovers, I had a go today at getting the strut out on the drivers side and I couldn't for the life of me make it come out of the hub, I got about halfway and because the driveshaft hits the wishbone the hub won't go down any further.

I've heard it's easier to undo the driveshaft from the hub, what sort of socket do I need for this as it looks to be a weird shape, do I just need a multipoint socket and do you know what size?

It's a 06 plate ibiza FR if that helps.

Cheers.

You need a 36mm bi-hex socket.

Don't force the driveshaft down any further as you risk separating the CV joint and then you have a bigger headache.

Undo the driveshaft nut and it makes life so much easier :)

Unbolting the bottom balljoint also helps if you haven't done so already!

Thanks mate. I've ordered the socket now. Do I need to take the nut right off and remove the end of the drive shaft from the hub?
