According to braodspeed Alor blue is now available on the Cupra £695 option

Just googled the colour , not my cup of tea would have preffered a bit darker like speed blue.

Here's a Leon with Alor blue.

Does anybody know under which circumstances you get the black trimmed steering wheel and gear stick rather than the chrome trimmed ones?

I believe it is only on the 280 and the 265 gets the chrome bits, i could be wrong but sure I read that somewhere.

Called in at our local seat dealer this morning as we were in the area dropping our other car off for a service. Their Cupra demo has not arrived yet, but I registered our interest and hope to get a test drive when it is available. He said they were forbidden to display it until the 5th March anyway.

In the meantime had a good poke around a FR in the showroom (it was an ST, great looking car in the flesh). It is right what they say, the interior quality is a vast improvement over our Mk2 FL Cupra.

99% certain I'll be ordering a 5 door 280 manual.

That's pretty much where I am, although less than 99%. A Golf R is still a possibility.
The interior is way nicer than the old model. The wife prefers the Golf but I'm not as certain.

It's weird. I never thought the interior of my fr+ supercopa was bad quality at all. Maybe the gray plastic bit isn't that nice but other than that I've always thought it's ok. I've driven quite a few BMWs and other VAG cars too and really don't notice much difference.

What is it that everyone hates about it so much?

Would be interesting if they did a review on the TG show, though it seems to be the races and mad vehicles like the Mercedes 6 wheeler thing last week that forms the content at the moment.

I do question all this stuff. I mean faster than a Gallardo, C63, Aston DBS, R8 etc..... Most in the industry press are a bit funny with ring times and SEAT are known to bugger about with this stuff (ever notice how the co2 and performance figures often change a few months down the line after launch).
